Arthur Yallen
Arthur Yallen was called to the bar in Ontario 1989, having obtained his law degree in 1987 from Osgoode Hall. He completed his undergraduate degree with distinction at McGill University obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1984. After his call to the bar, he practiced at a premier litigation law firm in Toronto specializing in insurance litigation. In 1990, he decided to set out on his own and opened Yallen Associates. Arthur has represented clients at all levels of courts in Ontario and Canada as well as tribunals and arbitrations with regards to all types of litigation including personal injury, insurance, real estate, corporate/commercial, copyright and sports and entertainment law. Arthur has also assisted thousands of people with their immigration matters and successfully argued cases at the Immigration Division, Immigration Appeal Division, Refugee Appeal Division and the Federal Court.
Arthur has also acted as counsel to many professional athletes, coaches and general managers in the National Hockey League.
Arthur also has acted as counsel to many businesses and has sat on several corporate boards. Arthur’s experience at all levels of business has allowed him to obtain hands-on, practical knowledge which has been a valuable asset in advising clients both in business and litigation matters. Arthur always brings a common-sense approach to dealing with his clients’ issues, to obtain cost-effective results.
In his spare time, Arthur is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing basketball and tennis.

James Lawson
James Lawson graduated from Dalhousie Law School in Halifax, Nova Scotia where he received two academic awards. James was called to the Ontario bar in 2008 after completing his articles at a boutique litigation firm in Toronto. Since his call to the bar James has worked at Yallen Associates. James has represented clients at the Ontario Superior Court, Ontario Court of Appeal, Federal Court, Small Claims Court and the Immigration and Refugee Board. When not in the office, James can usually be found with a good book, at the theater or playing boardgames.
